LSE's - worth more to keep in your shed than to sell
Hi All,
The rumors are true.
I unfortunately, was born into a Land Rover family and on the long road to redemption for forcing this upon me - the LSE in question has transferred from my father's hands to mine.
Dad built the car on the theory that he wanted to do a lot of touring/caravaning and having the TDI in a RRC worked with the theory that you can fix just about anything on the side of the road - no electronics.
What he did not factor in however, was how much he would fall in love with his D4. Thus the predicament of what to do with the 12-year-build LSE.
It was half-heartily advertised briefly - however it makes it hard to sell when you can buy D2 and D3's so cheap. Only fellow rover tragic's see it for what it is, and every rover tragic i know struggles to justify buying yet another old RRC.
I love it and neither of us really wanted to part with it - especially considering how much time, effort and money has disappeared into it over the years. I intend to drive it around for a couple of years, and take it back to Cooma for some more trophy's - after that who knows :)
There is a recent photo of it: Here
Cheers,
Ash
