Gees.....$2200 for a Rangie with air suspension. That's pretty good hey. I continue to be amazed at how much Rangie you can get for not alot of dollars. And they're HEAPS nicer to look at than a Landcruiser, Hilux, or Patrol...to name but a few. Another thing that amazes me is how many they sold given how expensive they were/are new.....

Back in 1995, mine was ticketed at $95k, and Pajeros et al were around $30 to $45k ( from dim memory...it was a long time ago)

But when I bought the Lady Sarah, she was less than HALF the price of the most 'average' similar or OLDER Pajero in the surrounding car-yards.

The 1990's were a well-off era, and many Classics were bought by....All sorts of too-wealthy folk.

Mine was originally owned by a Gentleman who would never be bothered by large mortgages or....family, so he had money to burn. - Rear seats were'nt going to be sat upon.. and it never even crossed a grass verge,.

Smile LSE's - worth more to keep in your shed than to sell

    Hi All,

    The rumors are true.

I unfortunately, was born into a Land Rover family and on the long road to redemption for forcing this upon me - the LSE in question has transferred from my father's hands to mine.

Dad built the car on the theory that he wanted to do a lot of touring/caravaning and having the TDI in a RRC worked with the theory that you can fix just about anything on the side of the road - no electronics.

What he did not factor in however, was how much he would fall in love with his D4. Thus the predicament of what to do with the 12-year-build LSE.

It was half-heartily advertised briefly - however it makes it hard to sell when you can buy D2 and D3's so cheap. Only fellow rover tragic's see it for what it is, and every rover tragic i know struggles to justify buying yet another old RRC.

I love it and neither of us really wanted to part with it - especially considering how much time, effort and money has disappeared into it over the years. I intend to drive it around for a couple of years, and take it back to Cooma for some more trophy's - after that who knows

There is a recent photo of it: Here

    Cheers,

    Ash
