Hi Meccles,
Its looking good. Looking at the pic of the engine bay you posted the other day, how is the battery held down? I cant figure out how it is supposed to clamp in mine. I believe originally there was a frame that went around the top of the battery?
Cheers,
Phil
By coincidence I was looking for this today. I knew I had two but couldn't remember which box of bits they were in. But found them[emoji1303] the chrome one was from my car but chrome is starting to get tatty. The black from a donor car- which will do for time being. Memory serves me correctly there wasn't much clearance between frame and +Ve terminal it was easy to get a short[emoji849]Attachment 126341
So I wonder when they went to the bit of angle steel with two hooked rods to pull it down? I'll have to find a picture if I remember.
Just been through this thread from the start. Sensational.
There have been some amazing restos detailed on the forum, done by forum members who obviously have very very good skills, always appreciated by me who has NO such skills.
This would be as good as any, and definitely the best RR resto I've seen on here.
Well done, Pickles.
Thanks mate though I suspect others have done as much.
