You must have a a lot of time.
Hi All,
So I've been thinking about purchasing a 4 door for a while now, and picked this up yesterday...
1990 Range Rover, 3.9 EFI - I am now the third owner.
You can see from the pictures - very faded paint, very dirty (filthy), some hail damage - overall cosmetically pretty poor.

It did come with the original jack... The gas struts from on the rear hatch are both missing, more specifically the brackets that attaches to the frame are long gone.

Head lining will need to be re-done:

First job off the rank - I have had these lying around for about 12 months, and they too are filthy:

I spent about 2 hours cleaning all 5 wheels, and now they look like this:

Second job - there was part of a roof rack on the front of the car.. The rear section was missing... The bolt heads appear to have rusted/broken off:

Out with the grinder and the 1/2 roof rack is now history:

Next job - wash, dry, wax, buff, vacuum... I still have a lot of cleaning to do, but the paintwork looks a lot better.. (It's never going to be perfect but I am happy with the results)

Interior after a quick vacuum, and clean:

There are lot's of (hopefully) small jobs to do (head liner, missing seat belt, front driving lights, front fog lights, wiper arms, 1 x front blinker, gas struts, bumper corners, etc)... But I've made a good start..
Mechanically the two biggest jobs that I have discovered so far - there is leak in the power steering system (somewhere), and I need to check-out the cooling system...
Cheers,
GG.

Nice pick-up Tom,
looks like it is very original.
Once a very expensive car and most likely someones pride and joy.
Has the rego run out?
Cheers, Mick.

Yep - hasn’t been registered since early 2000’s....
It drove 175km home (unregistered vehicle permit)... So hopefully nothing major to do, apart from already mentioned things...
Owner “just didn’t use it anymore” and “it uses too much petrol”
Lol - he should drive a 101...
