north, south, east or west?
if north isn't too far, LRA in Thomastown are very knowledgable.
Will have very many options to suit your taste.
Having done my RRC a million moons ago, it's very easy to DIY .. and keeping in mind I have the same old and cranky mindset as has been relayed in your thread.
Actually my RRC was of the type(1979) with the split pin upper shock bush, and having used poly bushes, I'd made it about as painful a job as is currently possible on any vehicle.
But even with that, I don't remember it being the type of job that adds to age and crankiness, where both those traits currently exist!
As for LRA:
* I don't have the quote for them to do my D1, but their workshop pricing wasn't overly exorbitant.
Maybe $400-ish, but he did explain they take the time to make sure it's well balanced, adding shims where needed to be sure the car sits level, than simply adding springs/shocks.
* there may be a long wait to get a slot in their busy schedule tho.
Arthur.
All these discos are giving me a heart attack!
