It will have oil lubed wheel bearings. The seal on the inner axle has been removed. The seal on the wheel hub should be rtc3511, that is the correct seal for oiled bearings.
Just after some info from the enlightened ones on the Forum.
Changed my rear wheel bearings (only had time to do one side) and there was diff oil in the hub. Reading manual there is no mention of a seal in stub axle to stop this, no seal witness marks on axle, and no seal visible. Is this kosher? Given that manual talks about re packing bearings etc so grease would end up mixed in diff oil. Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing.

AFAIK oil lubed wheel bearings (oil from the diff) is stock RRC going back a long time. May have finished at some stage.

Cheers that’s what we figured looking at double lip seal on hub. But much appreciated! First time after 30 years I’ve done rear wheel bearings on RRC
I converted my grease-filled bearings to oil on the first brake service I did. It was a bit of a revelation. From a couple of points.
1.proved just how much a PITA it is doing brake rotors.
2.makes a lot of sense why a lot of people convert axles over to drive flange style, from the early 'big dome' stubs.
I'm sure you are already aware of the differences, just be aware / remind yourself of the rear hub seal orientation, and use RTC3511 - the later superceeded part is not the same, despite all and sundry saying it is the same double lipped seal (it is double lipped, but it's not the same (FTC4785)).
If the stubs have no visible wear, you should be ok, I found my rear seals do weep a bit, and it can be annoying. Fronts are fine, but the swivel seals are like everyone elses - replace every year or so.
Roads?.. Where we're going, we don't need roads...
