2 door - captive nut for inside handle

One final thing stopping me finishing up putting the trim on - the captive nut is missing from one of the handles. I'm not sure what the captive nut details are for the handle mount - anyone sourced/reinstalled one before?

They look like bog standard rivnuts, you should be able to find some at any tool store or on ebay. Example:

    I second that,

I had the same thing happen on my 2 door, ended up replacing them all with new rivnuts/nutserts.

You may need to widen out the holes to fit the new insert if it's a bit out of round or distorted.

I just found a correct sized nut and 'spot' welded it to the door frame with an old CIG stick welder. Can't remember how I held it there.

    No probs after yonks, DL

Most likely a longish bolt pulling the nut up against the inside of the frame, being held by hand with a welding glove on.
