Bugger, sorry to hear that. It's a hell of a job to pull/refit the box and dismantle to get that thrust bearing back on the shaft position.

try this..

take thegear off of the shaft snig a nice tight wire tie around it and use an occy strap to pull it back.

grab an air chisel and put a brass drift in it.

turn the shaft slowly as you hit it with the air chisel..

10 minutes and 10 rotations or so usally gets it.

Hello! ☺ occy strap? What's that? Shall i use the air chisel at the front of the shaft? (Clutchside) and then "hammering" the shaft backwards? Thanks for helping me. Regards karl ☺.

Yes bearman. Im have pain in my fingers and arms after pulling and pushing😁. But tomorrow the gearbox will be out of the car. So we will see if i can fix it. Fingers crossed👍. Im so happy that you bearman and other people here trying to help me. Kindest regards from karl.

What Dave means is use an octopus or rubber strap to hold a bit of pressure backwards on the shaft as you rotate it and use an air chisel or hammer chisel on the rear of the mainshaft at the same time. Hopefully the vibration/jarring will allow the bearing to reseat itself as you turn it. Good luck Karl and hope you don't have to pull the box to fix it.

Ahaa! Ok. I presume that i use the chisel at the front end mainshaft?( clutchside).the gearbox is now out!👍😥 .

No Karl, the rear of the mainshaft. Still worth a try even if you have it out.

Aah😊 ok. Seems little strange to put some force with an airchisel to hammering it forward again. I will use some strap to hold it backwards during the hammering as you said. 👍. Lucky enough i have great patience😁 thanks again.
