Hello again folks☺ after a week with frustrating work to pull and push the damned mainshaft, i surrender. The gearbox will be out of the car saturday. Maybe it will be easyer to solve the problem then. I shall turn the gearbox uppsidedown 😀.
try this..
take thegear off of the shaft snig a nice tight wire tie around it and use an occy strap to pull it back.
grab an air chisel and put a brass drift in it.
turn the shaft slowly as you hit it with the air chisel..
10 minutes and 10 rotations or so usally gets it.

Yes bearman. Im have pain in my fingers and arms after pulling and pushing😁. But tomorrow the gearbox will be out of the car. So we will see if i can fix it. Fingers crossed👍. Im so happy that you bearman and other people here trying to help me. Kindest regards from karl.
What Dave means is use an octopus or rubber strap to hold a bit of pressure backwards on the shaft as you rotate it and use an air chisel or hammer chisel on the rear of the mainshaft at the same time. Hopefully the vibration/jarring will allow the bearing to reseat itself as you turn it. Good luck Karl and hope you don't have to pull the box to fix it.

usuing the airchisel gets you about a squillienty movements a minute, the rubber strap hold the shaft backwards (which is the direction you want it to be going in) the air chisel drives the shaft forwards just a fraction so as you turn it and vibrate it it will work the shim around in a semi random fashion.
if youve got on a micro orbital sander will do a similar thing in providing the vibration that lets the shim "wander"
