    Mud Flaps

    Bought new mudflaps.
Old one looks like stud and rivet ( round nut, rivet )
Do I cut the backs off the original ones, or to they unscrew some how.
New ones came with bolts and nuts.
    Thanks

When I did mine - I just removed the old ones (“rivnuts”) and installed the new with nuts, bolts, washer and split washer. I used a washer coz I was worried that the rubber would split with only a nut/bolt.

Some of my rivnuts came off easily - others I had to get the grinder out...

and the rubber in them tends to crack easily around the fixings these days, so i used a thin strip of metal along the top to help them out.

seems to have stopped the issue.
