    Rear window wiper motor ?

    Gday All,

1 of the few things that didn't work on my RRC was the rear wiper , I managed to get the washer working and pulled the motor today which I got to work but the worm drive was worn and wouldn't line up with the main cog so it wouldn't drive the wiper.. The housing ended up palling apart on one side when I tried to remove it so I am now looking at what options I have as a replacement.

I could always have no wiper there but wouldn't mind keeping it.

Are they the same as the D1/D2 or anyone tried a non L/R one. ?

    Thanks and Cheers Ean

I remember my ol '79 stopped working and someone I knew had an MG of some type beign pulled apart and they looked identical, so I tried it out .. fit perfectly .. so it's was almost certain that another vehicle in the British stable would ahve used a later model rear wiper motor too.

Did a quick check on the net, and it seems your model is the same as defender and series 2 and 3 fronts.

Paddocks came up when I searched the actual part number (RTC3867) and about 30 UK Pounds ex VAT. Add about 10-20 more for delivery.

Discovery 1 and 2's are definitely differently shaped, so doubt would fit.

    hope that helps
    Arthur.
