    Air Con hoses ??

    Gday All,

Anyone know where i can source air con hoses . Trying to resurrect the air con in 1990 model and all works well except for the split in the suction hose. Its close to where it goes thru the firewall so its looking like a new hose not a new crimp on the end.

I assume its prolly a case of getting new ones made , just wondering if anyone has had them done and whom they used.

    Thanks and Cheers Ean

Any half decent air con mechanic should be able to make the hoses on site, depends on what new end fittings are needed. I bought a portable crimper and some new hose so I make my own.

We have a brilliant auto AC place in Ballart (up in Martin Drive ). Work out how much the lines are going to cost to get made up ........... Then find out how much it is to buy some rolls of the line you want .... a crimper and some fittings. I always like to be able to make up stuff myself if I can. If its close to the same price. Buy the gear to do it yourself, that way you have the tooling and bits for next time (yes there is always a next time!).

we have all the gear at work to make hoses. Each trawler would have 40 hydraulic hoses on them. We don’t have the air con rated type hoses so will look into seeing if I can get the correct hose.

if you have crimpers then .... just cut the old fittings out of the hoses ... and fit the new line up and fit new crimps .... easy and cheap!
