As always a test light or multi meter is your best friend for diagnosis. Check that there is actually any output at the low beam terminal of the dip switch. You may have burnt out a brand new switch, they're not particularly robust.
This week I replaced the main indicator/ dip switch stalk on my 83 RRC. When finishing up I inadvertently shorted a termination out on the back of the aux light stalk. Since then low beam has not worked. High beam and else is fine. I’ve hunted high and low for a fuse, but can’t find anything. (The aux light ciyand low beam circuit seem to be tied up together)
Is there a fuse somewhere that I’m missing?

I would start with a relay upgrade to the lighting circuit before changing the switch so it isn’t switching large current loads, but only the relay coils.
