Hi, I have been restoring my 1990 Range Rover Classic with a 3.9V8 EFI. While tracing some wiring going to the coil, I came across a resistor that is wired into into the feed to the ECU (input 39) as engine speed signal from the negative terminal on the coil. The specifications state that it is a 6.8K ohm resistor. Mine is reading 7.42K ohms.
Does anyone know what effect if any this would have on the ECU?
Cheers
Geoff
it's within a 10% tolerance for a 6.8KΩ resistor.
the actual resistance of a 6.8kΩ ± 10% resistor will have its value as being read somewhere between 6.12kΩ and 7.48kΩ.
Roads?.. Where we're going, we don't need roads...
