the actual resistance of a 6.8kΩ ± 10% resistor measured in isolation with an ohmmeter, would see its value as being somewhere between 6.12kΩ and 7.48kΩ.
Hi, I have been restoring my 1990 Range Rover Classic with a 3.9V8 EFI. While tracing some wiring going to the coil, I came across a resistor that is wired into into the feed to the ECU (input 39) as engine speed signal from the negative terminal on the coil. The specifications state that it is a 6.8K ohm resistor. Mine is reading 7.42K ohms.
Does anyone know what effect if any this would have on the ECU?
Cheers
Geoff

Roads?.. Where we're going, we don't need roads...
Hi Mercguy,
Thanks so much for the that info...I can sleep peacefully tonight.
Cheers
