    That is the plan.

My partner literally just got home from a 4 month stint OS, now Il have some free time from my little pains to play with it.

While it shouldnt surge, you can pick the point there the fuel cuts back in around 1500 when decelerating if your looking for it.

Maybe a AFM / base idle / fuel pressure tweak?

I did have an issue sorta (jn a way) like that when i had mine, ended up blocking off the extra air valve on the front of the manifold, cleared it up.

That's about where it seems to stop doing its thing. The diaphragm might be weak or perished just allowing it to pulse at the cutoff. I have some time today, I am going to jump it and on my way from work on Monday, will do some further testing.

I would like to borrow a CO machine and tune that flapper in properly. Reckon there would be a bit of fuel saving and smoother operating.

She hates hills as it is, probably time for a cam replacement and top end freshen up, but start small for now..

AFAIK trim pot only really effects low speed running, but yeah maybe some savings to be made

Yeah from memory all it changes is fuel used while at idle and just before the flap opens. Currently I have followed the flapper Bible and have it set 2.5 turns out from all the way in. There was never a plug in it when I got the car ten years ago, so there is a pretty high chance it's been messed with.

Just an update to my testing. I bridged the over run relay and the hunting has gone away, but only from the engine side. It still seems to do the hunt/surge, but kinda feels mechanical with a little vibration that I can either now feel or I fobbed it off previously thinking it was engine noise.

Il keep running like it is and over the weekend Il adjust the kickdown cable and double check the trans fluid level. I have a feeling I might be a tad over.
