    ZF kickdown cable adjustment

    Hey

Hoping someone has the correct adjustment procedure for the kick down cable on the auto RRC, 3.5Lt V8.

Spent an hour trawling through the Rave manual, but for whatever reason I couldn't find it, even though I'm sure I have seen it.

    Help will be awesome thanks.

I don't have the manual but just needs to be slightly slack, from memory push the cable down 10mm before it moves the throttle lever.

    the easy adjustment...

set the idle speed, then tighten up the kick down until it just goes tight, back off the adjustment 1/2 turn so the pin is just free to rotate.

test drive till its all warmed up.

if its shifting too late for your liking, slack the adjuster one more half turn.
