    Heavy Duty Offroad Rangies.

    Just curious:

Anyone here with a heavily modded or serious offroad duty rangie?

Obviously there have been a few on here in the past, but I haven't seen anyone lately actually punting one around Offroad. Except for the two taswegians.

Is that because panels are becoming harder to find? or because disco's are cheaper and more disposable?
Or because we're possibly all generally speaking a bit 'older' than the current 'crowd' ?

It's now been 2 years since I was last up north doing the cape and gulf and I've got to admit I'd think twice about taking a rangie again, not because of mechanicals or breakdowns or spares, but simply because the routine parts replacement costs upon return have literally doubled.

So I'm thinking I should live vicariously through others -
If you have an RRC and it's set up for the gnarly stuff, please post a pic.
I promise it will not be only me who will appreciate it.

You know, simply for the purpose of vehicle envy etc.

You'll probably find a few on the HMLR page on FB.
That's if you're on FB! Heavy Duty Offroad Rangies.

Yeah I'm a member on that page, but I was wondering if there was anyone here specifically.

Everyone else is "so far away"

Well I'm building mine to be my daily but off road family fun bus for and camping. I'm hoping to have George on the road by the end of the year at the latest.
I'll be running a 2" lift with 33's, winch bar with winch, ARB rear bar, twin snorkels, and a few other mods.
Attached is my build page and I have been working on this since December 2018.

You'll have noticed then that most or at least a lot on there are on here too, but those who used to be really active here aren't anymore.
They tend to do all their stuff there now.

Honestly, Farcebook is the last place I choose to frequent, and that's more to do with the unfavourable ratio of drivel to quality content.

I was wondering where 'the usual suspects' had ventured.

More drivel than here? Watch where this thread goes, it will go off on a tangent to some completely unrelated subject as they all do.Heavy Duty Offroad Rangies.
I had a pretty modded rangie, but its stripped down to parts now. Heavy Duty Offroad Rangies.

Although I agree with you in general terms about Facebook,it would be fair to say that the quality of posts there has improved greatly over the last couple of years. The Range Rover Classics forum has some excellent contributors and very few tyre-kickers.

I've bailed from FB and Insta, and that page is about the only thing I miss
