    Sway bars

Another question, as always I appreciate the feedback from more experienced people.
The 2-door Rangie I have has aftermarket sway bars attached to the radius arms front and back. They are shaped like a shallow U with the “legs” clamped to the radius arms. While underneath yesterday on an unrelated mission I noticed the front one had the crosspiece of the U towards the transmission, which to me seems logical, while the rear one had it towards the rear diff, reducing the ground clearance a bit, with the legs facing forward. Does anyone else have this set up or can advise if it is correct as is?
    Thanks,
    Woolly.

I've got an aftermarket front bar fitted in early 90's which is set up as you describe your front bar. I have no rear bar so can't comment on that.

    Thanks for the response Meccles.
I think I have answered my own question, though. I had a longer look today and realised the cross piece of the rear sway bar would foul the exhaust and possibly the drive shaft if it was the other (logical?) way around. Doesn’t help with clearance under the back axle, unfortunately, but I don’t intend to tackle anything too extreme in it.
