    Re new timber veneer

Hi guys, I am about to redo the timber veneer on the centre consul of my 95 soft dash. does anyone know the type of timber used, what species. I have heard of Burr Walnut but also of some Beech that was used for the veneer. Were Oz import cars all the same in 95? ( I know there were only 100 imported, 50 green and 50 blue). TIA
    Cheers,
    Phil.

Hi Ron, its not in the best condition. I have tried sanding and re finishing the skate board centre consul and I think it will look better if I re veneer it. I will see if I can get a photo. Thanks.

I remember that a few years ago someone covered theirs with a stick on vinyl that matched the other veneer pieces.
