    Programmable Ignition Timing

I have a 3.9 litre with 8.13:1 compression running with LPG in a 1988 Range Rover and was going to get the distributor remapped. The LPG is fed through a BLOS mixer so the cars ECU is not used when I am on LPG. I need around 18-20 degrees of initial advance and a total of 28-30 degrees so only about 10 degrees of mechanical advance. Currently it has 20 degrees of mechanical advance.
I have come across this unit,
CB Performance Black Box Programmable Timing Control Module and was wondering if anyone has installed one. It looks like it will give me much more control over the timing curve and make fine adjustments possible rather than just having the distributor remapped.

this is the one I run.

throttle response is much better. I wouldn't say you gain power. But the difference is certainly very noticeable!

The Joker-N doesn't look like it will let you enter individual timing figures for rpm and MAP readings. The unit I am looking at lets you enter a 21 x 21 spark table through a cable to your computer.

Doesn't seem to be able to run 2 separate maps (lpg and petrol).

Here's something else you might find interesting:

It can be done, Fully programmable, also with switchable maps between LPG and petrol.

Lloyds in UK. have had one for a long time, but hang on to your hat, it ain't cheap.

I too have 3.9 with some mods, be very interested in how yours works out.
The Lloyds one is just too expensive for me.

    Please keep us posted.

I think it adds the set timing at low revs .... and removes it at higher revs... automatically.

The instructions for yours (in English after the Italian) are below, looks like you can program it somewhat and also be able to see what it is set to do now.
