I had a 2 door rangie in the 90’s and the workshop we used In Coffs sent it away for rebuild. Worked perfect until the day we sold the rangie.
Hi I’ve just purchased a 1985 where the PO removed the Boge unit - this came with the car. I’m exploring options including getting it rebuilt at WW Shock absorbers in Brisbane. I’ve seen on some other forums that their rebuilds don’t perform as well as originals - has anybody out there used them and been happy with the result?

There was a guy OS who used a front strut from a Mazda 323 in place of a Boge. Pretty sure it was adjustable and one of the ball joints (lower) was a direct match for the LR one.
That site was still up a couple of years ago. I posted a link to it years ago.

No, but allowed the normal rear side springs to remain soft for great axle articulation without a sagging arse. Just not automatic.
Double Chev's point about airbags is good. Would work fine with the 323 thing.
