yeah that looks like an expensive plastic engine cover.
I think you have a nicer engine bay tbh...
This was LRA job out of my price range

Roads?.. Where we're going, we don't need roads...
The real original ones didn't have the gauges in the top of the dash or aircon.
Nice car in the pics though.
I have an XD T bar shifter in mine for the C9 which doesn't look out of place at all, with stock transfer shift. Yes it is only for a 3 speed auto.
I have a spare tubular crossmember kicking around, as used in the 727 era. Easy to fab.

Damien, is that the same type of tubular crossmember as in the late RRC? Forgive my ignorance, but I thought that the early RRC's used RH box section or similar.?

Never seen a late one so I don't know. Below is what they looked like in the early 80's with the BW35, C4 & C9 auto conversions and what was used when 727's became stock.

Ahh so it's a tubular version of the straight crossmember.
The late one is bent in a wide V / U shape. I'll dig up some pics from mine and attach.
cheers

It would appear that the AULRO image handler flips images upside down...

Here's a pic of the T bar on the original LT95 tunnel; a straight hookup via an adjustable solid rod to the C9.

The stock box crossmember clears the C9 fine. I have the tube one in atm till I change the actual box section in the stock unit to get more clearance for the extractors, just coz it's a bit cramped.
