    Load leveller bottom bracket

    I've got one, little bit rusty but usable, still has the remnants of the ball joint in there. Could get that out though.

    Free plus postage as is, add 20 if you want the joint out, which normally requires a gazillion ton press.

    Yes I’ll take it please.
    Why would the ball joint need to be pressed out, as I thought it was screwed in ?

    Yes AFAIR the bottom joint has a nylon outer which is screwed in.
    I had one replaced by Graeme Cooper and I recall he had to machine the nylon insert to make it tight as it was aftermarket and sloppy.
    i still have my ground down and bent spanner that fits the shaft .

    I have removed the axle ball joint with the back of an axe , a drift and 2 blocks of wood.

    I just cut the top off with an angle grinder, get rid of the threaded ball then cut the side of the press in with a jig saw to take the tension off and out the remains come.

    I won't disclose the swearing and HOURS it took me to remove a "slightly" rusty one from a Disco Diff - which was out of the car on the driveway. Completely fused to the diff.

    in the end angle grinder got almost all of it, then the 4lb persuader.
    Then it took 40ton press nearly all of it's might to press the joint out of the bracket, which had been wailed on by someone before.

    I kept that bracket as a souvenir. I'd not use it on a vehicle, it's been hit too much.

    So not always an easy thing to remove, I concur.
