    Fuel sender resistance

Hi all, hoping someone could tell me the resistance range of a fuel sender from a Range Rover classic, carby style one side entry into the tank. I fitted a new Britpart one replacing the rusty original (parked for 10 years with a tank of e10) initially the sender worked fine including the low fuel light. It has however stopped working. Tested gauge and circuit by means of earthing the sender and light wires causing the gauge to go full and the light to come on when that wire was earthed. Suspecting the Britpart unit has packed up so wanting to test with a multimeter and confirm. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the assistance, I will remove it once the fuel level is low enough and test, the part is still under warranty so will grab a replacement once I test it’s operation and confirm there is no variation in resistance when I move the arm.
