Like everything that is Sydney... not an outright misrepresentation or lie, but rather a heavily embellished half-truth
Lane cove was a picturesque town... back in the 1800's when the missus's ancestors from the second fleet settled there.
Not sure if the statement holds true now, or even in my time.
I do like his project. Shows what you can do when you don't have a huge work commitment /family that takes all your spare time and then some...
What a lucky guy!
Still has the iconic RRC saggy-arse syndrome.
That's the only thing I'm maybe being picky about. Everything else is done nice.
Colours nice too. Just right, and suits it perfectly.
He can spend a week up here on our block, I guarantee he'll be up to the door handles in red mud within 5 minutes and the bush pistriping job will be epic. Just what a fresh-looking RRC needs. a bit of patina.
Either those photos are enhanced or he spends a little too much time with the turtle wax....
part of me is a little bit envous.

Fantastic, its not hard to spend endless hours on your hobbies when your young before you have kids I can remember being in the shed waaaayyy past midnight a lot of nights tinkering on ****boxes. the difference was being a student, I didn't have the $$$ to actually "restore" anything, but the tinkering is still half the fun. Good on him
I've put plenty off offroad pinstriping on the ****box here .... don't worry it'll buff out someday if I get aroudn to it

It's surprising how resilient the RRC's factory pain is to pinstripes... I've skulldragged mine through all kinds of viscious woody thorny crud on the block up home and it's only got relatively minor scuffing to show for it.
I've done more panel damage to it in carparks or when bits of fan decide to exit the bonnet at terminal velocity.....
pretty funny all things considered.
I still think his shiny box needs some patina.
Perhaps if I offered a 4x4 patina creation course and charged $2K for 3 days....
