Hi all, I am new here and need your RR experience to help solve a frustrating issue I have. I am doing up a 3500 1986 LWB Range Rover Classic and has had quite a lot of work done on the motor including, Fuel Injectors reco, new ignition amplifier, coil, Oxygen sensor, MAF and fuel relay bypass but when the engine has warmed up or done a long run up hills there are intermittent times when you put on the accelerator to power away and it briefly does not respond, then all of a sudden it will accelerate. It can be a bit of a worry when trying to pass a truck. You will drive along and take your foot off the throttle then when putting the throttle back on it will not respond briefly. At times the engine will just decide to stop or miss briefly when you pull up at a traffic light or idle in the car park, but 99% of the other time it runs perfectly. One can start it again but not sure where to look to troubleshoot. It is an original engine with the Odometer stopped at 320,000, so for all intents and purposes could be double that. Please advise?
does it completelly cut out? It could be something as simple as a dodgy wiring connector that flexes with the engine moment.
