    front recovery hook position??

hey guys whereabouts have you bolted up a recovery hook on your rangies. the only place i like is side or bottom of chassis rail, drill holes with one larger and use crush tubes between bolt end and nuts.

anyone have pics or any other ideas??

Exactly the spot I have put my 2 hooks. Just watch the bolt clearance to the radiator (don't go too long with the bolts).

Mechanic's recommendation. I just asked Glenn at Roverland to install a front recovery point for me - I left the details up to him as to what he thought would be most appropriate, not having any prior experience with 4wd's myself .

If you stay in front of the toyotas and datsuns you don't need a hook on the front, you tow them through the obstacle after you have driven through it yourself
