    Hmm.
There are 3 best ones I believe.
    1. 94-95LSE. Soft dash
    2. 86-87 Auto. Basic yet capable and endless options. 4.6 high comp Haltech etc
    3. Any that work for you.

Did I help? there are just so many options and opinions that to name a best, well, the one you have would ultimately at least in the owners opinion often be the best.

    Good luck.

I'd vote for '90 or '91. Nice interior, 3.9, and elegantly simple compared to the later models with abs, eas, etc, etc.

1988 model most reliable and cheaper to mod for off road use.

1989 to 1992 if you want a round town car. Can be made into off road weapon, but costs a lot more to do it.

Depends on what you want it for.

87-88 Rangie, auto hi-line and has the LT230. The 87's have the good earlier CV's whereas the 88's have the smaller CV's which are not that great (have been running the front air locker with them and so far no breakage but time will tell).

I had a 93 Rangie Vogue 'the Aquarangie' (92 build) and it was the best rangie I owned but to play hard it was a bit too nice for that (I sure did play hard in it hence why it's no longer in existence) but the 88 I have now has been great despite the fact it's manual, but for less then $1K purchase price I can't whinge either.
