What did you do on your Perentie Today.

Also extending the rear rollbars to protect passengers in the front facing foldup rear seats we've added and provide harness points for the three point seatbelts and new two person bench seats replacing the original full length benchseats. Thanks. Before I get all the seats back in I think I'm going to rhinoliner the entire inside of the tub and floorboards as well, but am concerned about thickness to leave the cargo rings intact and unimpeded as they recess. I'm going to see about some test sprays to look at the thickness, as I need them to recess so they aren't a tripping point for passengers in the new rear seats, and need them to remain in place for cargo, lashing, etc when the seats are folded up and out of the way. Anyone done something similar? SWMBO and I are 'debating' about exterior. Our son and I want to leave it as the military intended. She and our daughter want me to respray it a LR grey. This particular Perentie has an engraved unit symbol at the rear (Pelican with a mail pouch I've not yet been able to fully trace) and regardless of where we land on it I'll not lose or cover that (about which all agree). I hate the idea of losing the camo, but their point is that we have another, unmodded Perentie and that should be enough for the boys. The debate shall continue so long as the current work and fitting is the focus. The canvas is shot so I'll also need to figure out a new top, from Robco or other TBD. I have a canvas sewing machine and used it for my offroad poptop camper surround a few years ago, but don't think I have the skill for cutting in the various bits for this.

Well done! If it were mine, I'd leave all the exterior colours as they are.
Regarding covering the interior, just make sure you can allow things to dry out without corrosion problems. Simple rubber mats might be the go.

Mate of mine did that with a rubber mat in his Suzis' metal tub. Didn't lift it to dry out. One day he did have a look and uh oh.....rust every where.Condensation and rain did the damage.

Great work so far, just to add to your paint colour (color) debate, this is about my favorite painted Perentie, its such a good look.

Lining completed and rock slider installed. I should have the rollbar, rollbar extensions (for the new rear seats and three point harnesses) and bullbar zinc/powder-coated in the next week or two to match the rock sliders and reinstalled, then mount the seats and the interior and structural work will more or less be done. I've got to figure out the new top - I'd like two clear vinyl zip outs for better visibility than the standard top. Putting it back together, have the bull bar and modified roll cage assembly powdercoated to match the new rock sliders and now reinstalled. Have fitted the brackets for the forward facing, folding, new rear seats and beginning to put the canvas back on. I need a new canvas and am thinking of using Robco, but have heard the price will be dear.
