ROBCO manufactured the original cover for the Perenties when they were in service so they know what they are doing
I have one on my FFR and the quality is very good
They will also do any modifications that you want
They are a bit more expensive than others but I would recommend them

Drove it about an hour out for a meetup and took a few photos of the new mods. Powder coated the wheels and had to finally change the tyres as they were cracking and bound to cause trouble soon. Pleased in general with how the slight mods are turning out so far. New top, a/c and paint forthcoming over the rest of the year, the order of which is tbd (as are the time and funds for such).

While not the overall look I want per se, I'm hoping Robco can make a Perentie friendly canvas that has improved side visibility such as the one in this photo and will be contacting them. Ideally the clear panels can have a black cover flap to rollup or down and the entire sides can rollup as with the original canvas. I'm imagining this will all take things so far out of standard that there will be an associated cost, but using them I'm also certain the final product should fit like a glove. Thoughts?

Agree that it will cost extra but IME Robco will be the go.

Should work out OK. One point I will make that I have found (with Series 2a not Perentie, but same issue). Having canvas (or anything else) over the clear plastic windows results in abrasion of the clear plastic and loss of clear vision. This would be particularly the case for the Perentie with the vibration from the Isuzu. I have found this to be an issue even just operating with the sides/back rolled up and no cover on the plastic. It may not be as much a problem if you live in a place less dusty than here.

Agree with John regarding the plastic. It also hinders access to the tub through the windows.

I finally bit the bullet and applied for some personalised plates for my RFSV.

Had Wolf HD rims and 235/85/16R Toyo Open Country M/T fitted with wheel alignment as it drove like a washing machine! Managed to get past 79 kph, hitting the sound barrier of 104 kph downhill with a following wind and a big Mack truck in the rear view mirror! Might have to get the steering looked at as the steering is off centre and a bit more free play than I’d like, worse than my previous Defenders.
