Probably your right boot! :) Otherwise perhaps look for a dragging handbrake, possibly due to oil leaking from the output seal. (Assuming you have checked tyre pressures)

Today it rained and i had half the day off work, so i turned my car into a Speak easy! with the 4 batteries i can power a full band for over 3 hours (PA, 2 powered PA speakers 550watts each and 3 guitar amps also can spin vinyl records out of there) i am now going to put on garage punk shows once a month from it :)
i have the 6x6 version, ive pulled most of the back off it for weight loss around 600kgs loss.
had a fuel tank made to go in the back of it and fuel from either side 140L.
removed the fuel tanks from under the cab.
bought 2 rear doors so i can have the cab extended to 4door. it will be going in soon to have that completed.
but ive run into major problem seems i cant put any other gear box into it to mate up with the transfer case and also been told because of this i cant fint another engine into it. not going to give up yet thou im still looking into that.
hope its not the case or i think ill sell it :(
What's wrong with the current engine and gearbox? Surely a turbo and intercooler upgrade would give you a good boost in power, if that is the problem...
The LT95 is a combined gearbox and transfer case. Some have cut off the transfer case and grafted it on to another gearbox, but this is very expensive if you are paying someone to do it, as it is not a routine operation. What is the problem with the existing engine and gearbox?

The LT230 does come individually though, wouldn't it be better option to get a seperate TC and mate it to your desired gearbox and engine? I'm sure what you are wanting to do isn't impossible just from what I have read though.
Still, question remains what's wrong with the 4BD1T/LT95a/LT230 combo?
Ah that'll be the problem then haha.
I thought I had read somewhere that the third axle uses a power take off? Or is it more complicated then that?
the problem with the current set up is that its under powered. im not looking for a street rocket the little engine in it at the moment is flat out keeping it at 85kph and if you find a hill of any grade your going backwards in the gears real quick and whishing you had a spliter box. ive spoken to a guy who did the turbo intercooler upgrade and got to 93 kph but still the engine was at peek revs doing that so he was pulling up at every servo topping up *laughs* i would like to put something in it that moves it a little easier and use a little less fuel because its not running at peek revs as im doing now at 85.
i have been wondering about cutting off the the transfer case and having it fitter to another gear box.
do you know who has had it done and where ??
and then the next question would be what engine would be best to fit, im rather fond of isuzu engines those things seem to go on for ever and ive never heard of any real major problems with any of them.
No, it's not.
The first thing you should do is change your diff ratio. Have a search on here, others have done this.
After that, fit an intercooler with a bigger turbo. Again, there is much discussion on this forum about this.
Me? I'm happy driving an unstressed 6x6 around at 80km/h. All I need to do is get it towing a tandem with the 101 loaded, legally.
