Today i fitted new seat belts to bushpig and a new uhf. Also replaced a blown globe in the amp meter that isnt connected anymore. Wish i had the wiring for the 24 volt system. Ive got the distribution box but no wiring at all. Mo matter.

Today i fitted a new speedo cable coz i thought the old one was broken but it isnt. The speedo crapped it. So i refitted the speedo that the PO had fitted coz the odometer stopped at 200,000. Now it shows 380k. 173k too much. Bugger. Club trip tomorrow. Yay....

After returning from my Cameron Corner trip - the Perentie needed a little loving.

    * Wiped down the interior (very, very dusty)

    * Adjusted the drivers door. I worked out that there is a support bracket that is behind the striker plate, and comparing the drivers side bracket to the passenger side, the drivers side was bent (slightly). Re-aligning it meant that the striker plate sat flush (it was not sitting square). Hopefully the door won't fly open when I drive along anymore..

    * Checked all of the tyre pressures - all good.

    * Fitted the Jerry can covers:

    54 Series 1 86
    61 Series 2 109 - Club Rego
    76 2 Door Range Rover
    78 101 Forward Control - Club Rego
88 Perentie FFR - Club Rego
90 4 Door Range Rover - Club Rego
    93 Discovery 1 200 Tdi - Club Rego
    98 Freelander 1 - Full Rego
    22 Defedner 90 - Full rego

Well today was the day. I removed the roof rack. The bolts were rusted and one actually snapped off. I then removed the old canopy of bushpig, including the whirly bird and some sort of plastic coated canvas that the PO had fitted with tek screws and painted bright PINK. After removing the bracketry that supported the whirly bird and about 40 tek screws i undone all the canvas ties and ropes and the front clamps and took of the worn canvas. Might get a new roof put in it. The sides are still ok tho faded. I fitted a new bikini hex cam top from ROBCO. Looks great. Had to get new pinch weld for the sides as the old ones were toast. It was relativly easy to fit but did require a bit of stretching. Its fitted now and i like it. No more rain leaks now i hopeWhat did you do on your Perentie Today.. Just gotta fit the lower rope thingys to tie the cabin back part down. Waiting for a couple of new clamp handles as i broke one and cracked another. Found it was easier to loosen the 10mm nuts before doing the clamps up or undoing them. What did you do on your Perentie Today. What did you do on your Perentie Today.. Id love to get a new canopy but its way beyond my monetary reach for now. Cheers

Been flat out so have barely touched the Perentie since I bought it.
Put a new set of mirror heads on it this arvo since the originals the glass had crazed. Heater fan needs fixing next, has power to the plug and the motor spins so I presume it is a dead motor.

Today I fitted these. Great fit and really good quality. Thanks to Chris from Robco. Bushpig's tart up continues...

Some time ago I fitted LED tail lights to 49-043 but failed to let everyone know!!

*They are the 90mm NAS spec, wipac.
*Horribly expensive, but seem very durable.
    *Fantastic visibility.
*Yes the original are cheap to replace and do the job but I wanted something that made the Perentie more visible from the rear especially if on the side of the road with the hazards on.
    *Are still Land-Rover style.
*It also forced me to sort out the 30 years of birds nest wiring.
