Not today but Thursday just passed. A pair of new Supercharge TMN87LZ - $217 each so can't complain and the RFSV now kicks over and starts without any issues [other than the rattle that will knock the fillings out of your teeth for the first minute or so as the mighty 4BD1 comes to life]

Once again I'm failing in my duty to keep all the other Perentie owners informed of changes I make to 49-043, so what I did today, or rather a few weeks back...

*Was driving down the freeway and the, I dunno 15/20 year old? canvas decided to die.
*20 Days later Robco supplied a shiny new one! dam awesome.
*Added a tow hitch from the U.S that suits a hummer.

Looks great, any chance you could share some more details of the hitch?

Changed front wheels , i needed a 6ft breaker bar and was hanging off it to loosen two of the wheels nuts on one side. The date on the tyres is 2004 , so probably haven't been off the car since then.

Doesn't need years to get that effect - just an idiot with a rattle gun. I broke a perfectly good half inch extension bar trying to loosen the wheel nuts after having a new tyre fitted a few years back. Had to borrow a set of 3/4" drive sockets (plus my 2m of pipe) to loosen them.

Any dramas with the bonnet tool holders or the tie down points on the bar?

Not mine but we replaced the gasket to the water inlet manifold above the water pump. Original gasket was rotten. One to keep an eye on. Pia to get off tho.

Also removed rear diff cover to straighten after a meeting with a large boulder. Going to give it a shave soon.

Replaced rear brake pads which had typically ground themselves to bits on one trip. We had the same issue on our old D1with dirt lodging atop the rear pads. ..feeding in like grinding paste. Dumb design😐

Fabbed up some rock sliders and skid plates for the lp tank i added a few years ago. All just came back from powder coating recently, and while I did a fitting before sending them to be coated I've not yet had time to permanently mount them.
