From what I can see the roll bar mount (hole that roll bar sits in) at rear is welded and same with the triangle type one for front roll bar. So the Hardtop cant be mounted without swapping the whole side guards as far as i can tell...
That's right mate, there are a few things to remove to get to a 'clean' tub the the Survey top will fit well to.
Good luck.
Hi there
I sent you a pm regarding the survey top.

If you've got a Soft top and want a Hard top, and your mate has a Hard top and wants a Soft top, have you considered swapping vehicles? :D
And just FYI, your mate has a fairly rare vehicle, there were only 39 Survey Hardtop Perenties made, and are probably up there for being a highly sought after variant. Your mate may be crapping in his own bed on resale value by butchering it. Just saying, that's all.
Thanks 303gunner I'm glad somebody told me.... how come they didn't fetch higher prices in the auctions just out of curiosity?? I've let him know, sorry everyone who asked i don't think he will be selling the hardtop mind you giving it to me lol... when you say sought after is it worth him putting it away and grabbing a cheap soft-top or ???
Also on location, I noticed vehicles that sold in Melbourne and Sydney went for a lot more money than the ones in Darwin, Townsville and a bit more remote places. I also noticed some in quite bad shape went for much higher prices than the good ones, I assume this is the "mood" you are talking about or they had some history , not sure... but I'm happy with mine and that's what matters to me. :D
I am glad the price difference came up and discussed, I just pointed this out to my wife to validate the extra 5k I spent on my Survey model, and there is no way I'd consider removing that lovely Hardtop.
see you at Corowa
