I acquired FFR 49-232 at the Minto auction. Seems in good pretty good nick to a rank amateur but we will see once it goes to an expert. Just over 14k kms according to the log books since they did a rebuild. 2nd log book from when they reset the counter says allocated to the Solomon Islands. Looked for Solomon deployed lists and found a few but this one wasn't in those lists.

So no spare tyre (brought an extra No 5 trailer cheapish for the wheels), and no jack or wheel brace. Spoke to the guys at Grays, they are frustrated as Army has told them they have so many spares its ridiculous, but with 'the wait until they are all sold' mantra they reckon the lots when they release will need to be huge so that the average joe won't bother, so most will go to scrap merchants. They have counselled selling some off as they go but the Army know better

So this is my 2nd Landy, had a '64/'65 a long time ago. Then a couple of those electronic wizardy comfy Jap things (lease thru work), fantasic to drive but scary if something went wrong, as it did with me, sand dune jumped out at me .. so having driven ATWOODS Perentie over Easter I thought, why not especially since I am local at Minto. ATWOOD's had fitted the power steering, thought I could live without it Well, my x2 D clutching going around tight roundabouts leaves something to be desired So will be booking it in plus a few locks to be fitted, and another standard tow bar fitting and plug (will need both). Turbo is on the back burner at this point.

Now where's the best place for a jack and brace ?? Plus need some cord for the canvas at the back ??

    Hi,

Aussie disposals for green braided rope, 5 mm. Any 2t jack would be good enough, use a block of wood to get height and stability. 27mm is nut size, plenty on ebay but best to get the cross style as you will need to put in in the hole in the rear panel to lower the spare
    Regards
    Scott
