I did this mod over a year ago, only difference is I am using standard lap seat belt, not the type your thinking of using.

    Hi Bruce,

Looks good. I have a Series 111 Truck Cab as well as a Perentie. My Series has the 3 seats across the front and it has worked well for me over the last 15 years. My Series has 2 brackets that are part of a frame that is bolted to the transmission tunnel to locate the seat base and also 2 lugs that the of the Middle seat bolt into at the bottom of the back rest. It sort of acts like a hinge so the the seat back can fold forward and give access to the space behind the seat. Is this how your middle seat works? If so did you make up a frame or were you able to purchase it.
Also did you have to drill holes for the location of the lap sash middle seat belts or are their mounting points already in the floor of the Perentie for the mounting of a lap sash middle seatbelt?

    Regards Warrick.

    middle seat

The standard middle seat, is different from the Series Landy. It is complete and no moving parts ( no hinge).
The seat belt holes are already in your perentie. I got mine from TR spares South Australia.
They do come up on ebay or other Landy spare parts outlets, just keep looking.

Cheers Bruce. Appreciate the information. Did you get both the seat and seat belts from TR Spares in South Australia?
    Regards Warrick.

Hi I ordered exmoor seat through John Craddock Ltd in the UK their delivery was a lot cheaper and seat price the same, have a look at their other spares if you are needing as they are a lot cheaper on some items. I have a perentie RFSV , and as DJ said I need to move my originals out in order to fit, I haven't seen the plugs but the corner mounting bolts are above the fuel tanks!, still getting there. Of interest it would fit directly into my 300TDI wagon on inveatigation....good luck

Of interest I was also informed that the rear facing seat in the RFSV is illegal in QLD as it has a 5 point harness, I'll try and catch up with an inspector soon to see how to overcome that obstacle, hopefully a lap belt will suffice.

Illegal in WA too. You could get around it but an automotive engineer has to sign off on it to be registered with the rear facing seat according to the inspector that signed off on ARN51745 at my local licensing centre.

love to see some images once you have the seat in place in your RFSV.

I would like to know why. I know several people who have 5 point harnesses in their daily drives, a requirement for CAMS when they use them in track work.

Yeah Mick, It doesn't make sense to me, my opinion is that the 5 point harness would be the safest option, but will inform as we progress, another interesting point is that some of the RFSV's sold are registered as 3 seaters on the compliance plates so that is an interesting scenario, but I'm not sure if these vehicles have different seatbelts?
