Hi,
years ago I had a red isuzu county converted to a dual cab and the Toyota dealer who previously owned it converted it to auto with a Toyota box and it normally ran in 2wd and had a disc handbrake. It was a dream to drive and eventually went to the Mudgee area. Only issue was it needed a bit more power so if I still owned it I would have got say KLR to do their turbo--then a top car. Thus it can be done.
Black knight my head is still spinning from all that I will have to print that out and give it to a motor mechanic mate of mine he is a wizard with stuff like that see if he can follow it.So Dave is that a td5 engine and auto fitted in place of the Isuzu motor and manual Transmition .Thanks guys for all those ideas and answers Cheers Bushie
the short shot was.. (and it was given with the assumption that your disability was legs based so you couldnt operate both the accelerator/brake and the clutch at the same time, not an arms based disability that prevents you from operating a shift lever and the steering wheel at the same time)
replace the clutch pedal with pneumatic actuator but not one that relies on PSI above atmospheric pressure to operate but one that operates off of vacuum (InHg) which you obtain from the existing vac pump for the brake booster. Fit the control for the clutch to the gear shift.
the rest of it was just broad description of how and why.
IF that fits the bill for what you need and you want to keep the vehicle as original as possible (it might even be achievable to keep the OEM clutch pedal arrangement as well so you can operate 2 up)
A td5+ZF with an LT230 as a complete arrangement would require the least amount of heavy duty precision fabrication to install, the most amount of electrical harnessing, and a bit of sheetmetally type work to install the radiator intercooler and airfilter setup.
Yep, Bushie. will require a bit of auto elect magic to make the D2 electronics happy. As the other Dave says, minimal fab work to fit. Effectively upgrading to 2000 spec drivetrain.

There have been at least two advertisements that I have seen on both gumtree & carsales (might be same vehicle re-sold?) I first noticed them because they were hardtops, and when I looked closer they were a TD5.
Cripes, Army bought a number of TD5 3 doors 'remediation' vehicles. They often get advertised as Perentie vehicles. Big teller is the Warn electric winch, Jerry sized side lockers and the hard top. Chassis and drivetrain is all standard 110 TD5 fair.
One of those remediation vehicles went to some interesting places with some interesting people, if I recall you saying so Mr Barefoot ;)
