OK folks, here’s the thing, I’m picking up the wife’s D3 V6 SE tomorrow and I was wondering if you can give me an idea of what the ad was all about so I can do some price correcting tomorrow.

    Cheers.

ok the price of the S model and S model only in the TDV6 and The V6 has dropped by $11,000. They will be going back up in the new year
The SE and HSE are still the same price and will carry on being the same price.

It has always been my policy to sell a large quantity for a lesser price than a small quantity for a greater price. As said above by my peers Land Rover should just have marketed the disco at these prices there would be double the amount we are seeing on the road now. A sub 50k truck is what they need to drop down a level and compete with the top models of the Pathfinder (as the D3 is a helluva lot more truck for your money) and the base spec Prados and the Pajeros, then the higher priced SE and HSE models can compete with the up spec cruisers and patrols.

With a little bit more creative marketing we would see alot more Land Rover products on the market. Matt

Guys, I was at a dealer t'other day and asked about this. The D3's price *has not* dropped permanently. It's an end-of-year runout. So yes there are bargains now, but not next year.

Discussed with dealer - only on S models delivered before the end of December. Factory bonus on SE and HSE is only $1000 off.

Reason for discount is the S is not selling and LRA has too much stock of Ss.

Guy tried to sell me a SE Demo model for $5k less than normal - explained I would be better off getting a new S and optioning to almost SE spec and save heaps.

That’s what I got when I arrived at the dealers.

The special is only on the S V6 and S diesel and for the very reason garrycol posted.

If you want to get into a D3 without paying the normal full ticketed price, it’s a good deal.

But all the rest are selling well and there is not much being offered off them.

    Cheers all.
