    I'll have to keep my eye out and see if I can get a better picture, I've seen it around Dandenong a few times.

    My guess is they didn't. Actually, you can get closed cell foam sealing strips that fit corrugated iron on one side and flat on the other, which would probably work nearly as well as the canvas seal.

    Ha, I was thinking U shaped channel flashing riveted to the top of the windscreen, with the iron slid into it....

    Don't be silly.
    It's a fascia with a bit of guttering into a down pipe. You don't want the water from the roof flowing onto the windscreen.
