    Perentie 4x4 winch

Hi all , Replaced the perentie oil for the winch yesterday , But I filled to the filler hole like a diff. , Is this OK ?/or should I have measured it to the approximate 1.3L , I don't want to over fill ...And I forgot to measure as I went , should I drop it and start again , or is the top of the fill hole about right ?

1.3l should take it to just onto the bottom of the filler plug hole.

if the oil is at the top of the filler hole threads you/ve overfilled it but it shouldnt be a problem so long as the breather is clear.

my usual routine for filling them is to remove the breather and the fill plug then pour the first liter in through the breather hole then top it up until the oil just touches the fill hole thread and then seal it all up again.
