The gal chassis is appealing, very well protected.
But the older 110s had a good chassis coating. You just had to keep an eye on some vulnerable spots where sand and mud would accumulate. The rear cross member is one of those. I bought a 110 to wreck that had done lots of beach work. The chassis top in places was rusted, and rear cross member shagged. But when I cut off the rear cross member the chassis rail inside was pretty good.
