*Used later Defender cable stays instead of chains, dont think it really matters.

Just to update this thread.
As I was only half looking into this, the job I did was half one way half the other. As I ended up being short on parts or wrong parts, the fault in my job was the cable ended up being fitted arse about to finish job. Using the Defender cable was neat but the cable support bracket on the body is not worth the tin foil its made of and has bent. Keep in mind though the tailgate has supported numerous gearboxes and complete hub to hub diff assemblies so maybe I'm asking to much of it.
Two parts ways of doing this job, either using Land Rover Series parts or using Land Rover Defender parts.
