Finally back on the road and cool runnings.

Fresh fluids all around, steering wheel now at 12 for straight ahead a few relatively inexpensive parts fitted and my perentie ffr is now running very well indeed. In many ways it feels like fresh truck just run in for me. The gearbox is now much smoother. Unfortunately fuel sender unit must be replaced ( it worked temporarily after a tinker) and the heater fan seems to have died today. Could this have something to do with water in the vent during wash rinse last night? I tried to avoid blasting it directly but surely it's just coincidence and it can handle a little water. Any thoughts from someone in the know would be appreciated. The levers to operate the heating and air especially the fan speed don't operate with the authority of action that I would like mabey it's that. Another thing I have noticed is that the passenger side vent on the window for heating blows at a higher and I believe possibly hotter temp that the drivers side. The heater in general has proved to be acceptable but not very good so far but obviously now is non existent. When I say acceptable I mean a normal person would say this heater is **** lol.

    Heater not working good enough??....
Sounds like you are a bit too soft for a Perentie....

remove the covers off each side of the instrument binnacle and look at the cable and lever for screen / floor etc and fan speeds, some silicone spray and get them moving correctly.
After that look behind the instruments and make sure the corrugated tube is connected.
    Regards

    ffr fuel sender

My fuel sender on the FFR was not working, when I removed it I was quoted a significant amount for
a new one, not having won the lottery I searched online and found a similar sender, as a new part
for sale in Albion Park. (I think it was on Ebay) had it posted, swapped the parts to the old sender
and it has worked fine now for 3 years

Im looking at my $470 new fuel sender unit. Looks like it should be worth $32 from Bunnings. How much did you end up getting out of the problem for?
