    6x6 not engaging

Hi all, haven't been on here for a while after the fires and ongoing cleanup. One of my 6x6s has lost rear axle drive, Ive pulled the back actuator off and it is a bit sticky, seems to have good vacuum and nothing wrong with the mechanical side of things.. My question is where in the hell do I find replacement actuators? Im thinking the diaphragm is buggered?

When I was at KLR recently, I saw something on the desk and asked about it. I'm sure Brad said they are having vacuum actuators made for the LT95.

    Alternatively, you could consider this:

Diff Lock vacuum actuator LT95 box.

Vacuum to mechanical diff lock conversion

Easy way to check if the diaphragm is ok in the actuator is to attach a bit of hose to each port and suck on each side. If it develops restriction the diaphragm will be ok. Sometimes they just get sticky from lack of use. Could also be the electrical switch is a bit tight and restricting the shaft movement. If the vacuum check goes ok , pull the switch out and see if that improves it.

Thanks mate, did all that and found it was moving but not particularly well. I even removed the unit and applied the vacuum lines while operating the switch..maybe I should soak the mechanism in some light oil overnight

Worth a try. While you have it off have a feel of the sliding dog on the quill shaft and see if it moves easily over the dogs on the output shaft.
