    More Perentie questions

Greetings All. On way to Perth after picking up a 91 4x4 Perentie. Only done 50,000 kms (apparently). O 80 km/ 100 km road today, travelling in windy conditions, it was all over the road. Love the beast, but wondering if a change of suspension is required. Thoughts?.

Well if your Perentie has leaf springs then maybe - try posting in the coil spring section https://www.aulro.com/afvb/coil-spru...y-land-rovers/

You probably need to go all over the steering. That is usually the problem.

As to suspension, stock should be fine but who know what it has or what kind of shape it is in.

You are best to find someone local to look at it that know Defenders.

The canvas acts like a big sail in strong wind and that could cause the wandering.
Also check the steering free play.

The 6x6 does have leaf springs (at the rear) but as his is a 4x4, I’ve moved this thread to Coil Sprung.
