    Another one joins the fleet

So a while back I found an RFSV (ARN 51736)for a very good price and after a bit of back and forth bought it.
19,000K on it since a BAE rebuild and new log books, came with a new canvas and a few other bits an pieces too.

Went through the RWC easily. So far I have taken of the split rims and added heavy duty flanges as the other had some wear.

Had my first issue with it, switched over to the left hand tank and got heaps of white smoke. Drained the tank and found a lots of water in the fuel. Flushed the tank through with clean diesel and added some Redline water dispersent, cleaned the sedimenter and all good now. I took the dirty fuel and ran in through my centrifuge that I use for bio fuels and it came out much better.

Nice Pilbara pattern! Purchased my RFSV in November last year, sans GM120 logbook unfortunately, enjoying driving it around to clear the cobwebs as I think it’s been laid up for a while and it seems to be responding. I took the “dickie” seat out the back and need to tidy the bins up. Yours looks in remarkably good condition. What rims and tyres are you running?

    Cheers, Greg

I've got the Dickie seat but not fitted, can't be in there as it is not ADR approved.
It is in really good condition, a couple of small issues but nothing too major. The guy who did the RWC said it was one of the best and most original he had seem.
I've got the original split rims but I'm running wolf rims and 225 95 r16 Bridgestone Dueler AT 697.

    Hi Fattima,

    Very nice Pilbara RFSV.

Did you pick it from a Western Australian owner?

    I own
(ARN): 51745 and I think your RFSV was in the same auction I purchased mine from back in June 2015, Otherwise it may have been in the previous auction in May 2015 where there was about 20 Pilbara RFSV's sold by Grays Online Auctions.

I run Wolf rims on mine with BF Goodrich Mud Terrains, 255-85-16's.

Good luck with your Pilbara RFSV and enjoy!

    Regards Warrick.

    Cheers Warrick,

Having a ball with it so far. I bought it from a seller in Vic who got it from WA a few years back. I think it did come from the same auction from what I can find.
Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
