05/98, Land Rover, 110, 4x4 Surveillance and Reconnaissance Vehicle SRV (SF

    Hi All,

I am keenly watching this lot on the current Pickles/Frontline auction website and am wanting to know if it is possible to license an SRV.

I know that a few have come up in the last couple of years but from what I read, I am not sure if you are able to license an SRV as I don't think that there is a compliance plate.

Are there any SRV's in private hands licensed even on special club plates?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

    Regards Warrick.

I have seen a few pics of them with civilian number plates so I guess you can get them on the road.

I'm sure there is a process of getting a vehicle reg'd that doesnt have a compliance plate.
Other stuff they seem to have gotten tougher with such as removal of bonnet hardware, lifting hooks, jerry can racks both on the rear and sides, antenna mounts, additional seats.

The only other item I see that might need removing is the rear folding deck and possibly change the side doors over to standard 110 door (until its all reg'd right?)
    Regards

That is $61,000 plus buyers premium and GST!

Still 22 hours to go until the end of the auction.

I wonder if there will be a late flurry of bids tomorrow afternoon!

Going to be one hell of a spend on a 4WD, soft top with no soft top, Perentie!

    Regards Warrick.

Hey Warrick it's $61,000 GST included, I just purchased an Perentie FFR myself a month ago, all charges was included in the price, loving ours.

Ridiculous the prices some of these vehicles go for, it's actually sitting on $60,500 with only two blokes bidding for it and all they've done is jacked the price up for each other, silly really.
    Cheers Baz.

Pickles must have a different set up to when I purchased my RFSV through Grays Online Auctions a few years ago.

GST and buyers premium was added on top of the final bid price. My mistake.

Did anyone on the forum see what price it ended up selling for. I unfortunately missed the end of the auction.

    Regards Warrick.

Hammer Price + Buyers Premium +GST

Pickles have a better system having it calculated all in the hammer price.

Does anyone know what the 98 SV Perentie sold for? Last time I checked it was at $61500 going up in $500 increments.

    Regards Warrick.

What I meant was only two bidders pushing the price up. I remember an auction for a Centurion tank - only two were bidding at $18k, and it went to $30k before one dropped out!

I was not referring to how fees are done - that varies enormously from one auction company to another, although typically (but not always) the buyer has to add GST to the bid, and there is sometimes, but in my experience not often, a buyer's premium as well (which has GST added to it as well!), and the seller usually has a premium as well.

But these arrangements depend not only on the auction company, but the venue, and the class of goods being auctioned.

Hi Warrick, I went and checked my paperwork, there was a 1% Admin fee from Pickles, all other fees were in the price, I didn't see what it went for but I reckon one of the Perentie facebook groups will know.

EDIT, just checked on Land Rover Perentie Owners Facebook group it went for $60,500 to the bloke in Casino NSW.
    Cheers Baz.
