    I have a Ctek MXS 10 and can understand your confusion. To say one thing and see them doing another is a bit weird.

    I've got the comfort connect hooked up to my main battery via the screw-down terminals. Have done for quite a while and have not had any issues. As mentioned above, it's all to do with gasses, and probably more to do with charging an already flat/low battery. My SC80 sends the good stuff to the aux battery from there.

    If my batteries were to die/become low, I'd use a chassis bolt to earth, pos on the terminal.

    Keithy, on a P38 that's fine.
    On an intelligent charging system it's not about "the gasses" it's about the electronics...
