Has anyone flashed a CCF file to a Disco Sport yet?

There's a couple of options regarding the phone.

#1 is to fit a phone module from a 2010-2011 Discovery 4, like here D4 Bluetooth Phone into D3

#2 is the aftermarket phone module from MoBridge, like here MoBridge anyone?

For the reversing camera your easiest option is to use an external GVIF video interface box, which will override the video signal from the Nav module and show the camera image, this is triggered when reverse gear is selected. There are cheap cameras available from eBay or Aliexpress specifically for the D3, replacing one of the numberplate lights, like this Car Reversing Parking Camera Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4 Reverse Safety View SUV | eBay, for the GVIF box there are heaps of different versions, this is pretty much the cheapest one I've come across GVIF car video interface for Lexus, Toyota, Land Rover, Cadillac, Jaguar

The standard touchscreen in the D3 does not support a reverse camera directly plugged in, it's a software issue. There is a trick to change the setting of the D3 screen into "L322 mode" that will allow a camera input, but there's a few side effects that come with this method, that need some workarounds, and a couple of buttons on the screen that do not work as a result.

Yes, it's possible on the Disco Sport up to 2017MY. I can't speak for the makers of aftermarket diagnostic tools, but it's possible with SDD.

This will change on the 2018MY cars though, only the DoIP/Pathfinder will work on a 2018MY L550.
But there is another issue, Pathfinder has no CCF editing functions, and JLR has no intention of adding them to the software.
There is a project underway by a couple of clever guys to create a CCF editing tool for these newer models, will be ready sometime next year.

    What is PATHFINDER?

PATHFINDER is the all new diagnostic system specifically designed and released for the introduction
    of the following vehicles.

    Land Rover:
    - Range Rover L405 (17MY)
    - Range Rover Sport L494 (17MY)
    - New Discovery L462 (17MY)
    - Evoque L538 (18MY)
    - Discovery Sport L550 (18MY)
    - Range Rover Velar L560 (18MY)

    Jaguar:
    - F-TYPE X152 (18MY)
    - F-PACE X761 (18MY)
    - XE X760 (18MY)
    - XF X260 (18MY)
    - E-PACE X540 (18MY)

These vehicles have been designed to communicate with new high speed communication protocols.
This allows faster software download, programming and communication, making it faster to use and
    saving valuable time.

These vehicles can ONLY communicate with the all new PATHFINDER diagnostic software using the
new Diagnostics over Internet Protocol (DoIP) Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) unit which
conforms to the new communication protocol.
    ------------------------------------

I was finally able to get one of these DiOP units, just arrived last week...

They certainly make it hard for the diagnostic tool suppliers to keep up. I wonder if that’s part of the strategy.

There is certainly no intention to make it easy for 3rd parties to work on or modify the vehicles.

The change to the DoIP unit is because of adopting the Flexray communication protocols FlexRay - Wikipedia

This is not just a JLR thing, most of the major European manufacturers are going down this road. Bosch is one of the driving forces behind it, and it just so happens that Bosch supplies a large portion of the electronic systems in these cars, as well as producing the diagnostic equipment to support it all (the DoIP interface is made by Bosch).

JLR has a "no mods" policy on their vehicles, which is why the dealers are prohibited from making these retrofits like we do. So not having a CCF editing function in their diagnostic software would be part of that policy.

Been a while since I updated this thread, lots of projects in the last few months!

Not in a Disco Sport yet, but I have managed to get the InControl Apps activated in a 2016 Jag XE and 2017 Jag F-Type.

In the XE using an Android phone.

In the F-Type with an iPhone

So this is possible in cars with NGI or NLI infotainment; Discovery Sport & Evoque up to 2017MY, L405 Vogue or L494 RR Sport up to 2016MY

Currently "this close" to sorting the InControl Apps retrofit on the IAM2.1 cars as well, but there's about $1000-$1200 worth of hardware needed for them.

I've also come across a solution for DAB+ "retrofit" into the later models with NLI infotainment. It's not really a retrofit because it uses an aftermarket module via the USB port, but it's a solution nonetheless. And at about $650 installed vs. $3000 installed for a factory system, it's not too bad. Can use the factory antenna so the reception is good, and all but invisible.

Factory DAB antenna amplifier on the rear window in the Discovery Sport, so it's invisible.

It's not perfect though, there is about a 30 second buffer in it though, so you need some patience when first starting and changing stations.
It takes up the USB port in the console, which means you can't use InControl Apps at the same time as the USB-DAB, and it also means no mp3's on a USB stick.
You can get an additional interface which will allow you to switch between DAB+ and a USB stick, but I haven't tried it in a JLR vehicle and I have some doubt's about the current consumption being too much for the USB socket.
If you unplug the USB-DAB module from the USB socket it resets itself and has to run through the scan/autotune and takes even longer to boot up.

So apart from those little niggles, it's pretty good! There isn't really another option for DAB that is "integrated" so that's as good as it gets.

    DS MY16

    Hi Cambo
I am really interested on your modes and I will wait to see if you can find a solution for the DS MY16 for the in control apps.
Also I would like to know if there is a possibility to add electric front seats (how easy or difficult) and a power tailgate since I made the mistake and didn't ordered those 2 on my car.

    BTW Happy Easter
    Regards
    ~Leo

1 .How hard is it to get bluetooth audio? what do i need to swap out?

Unfortunately there is no cost-effective factory upgrade available for these low-spec units with the small monochrome screen. A full factory retrofit is technically possible, but probably not worth the $5000 it will cost to do it.

This is the only off-the-shelf system i've come across NAVIPLUS. COM.AU. but it also has some downsides, like none of the buttons on the console will work.
