i use ios and android devices on a daily basis and they both have their pluses and minuses
sadly with android your the product
updates for IOS apps are significantly bigger than android apps
the android userbase is significantly bigger but sadly the vast majority of that userbase cannot take advantage of the latest security improvements etc as the manufacturers don't issue updates to the patches or OS level updates and many cannot even update google play so they can access the later stuff.
IOS updates keep coming on a regular basis till apple drops support for that device and that can be many years in some cases.
when you live in both ecosystems you can see the pluses and minuses of both and their respective shortcomings and there is a fair degree of disparity at the end of the day
apples pricing on all of it's products has been ridiculous of late and the market has fallen away somewhat but their bottom line continues to climb so they seem to be well aware of what market they are targeting and are doing it very well.
i'll be using my old mac gear till i cannot use it anymore as it is streets ahead of the competition even at 5+ years old...
hopefully it will last till i win lotto so i can buy some new stuff [biggrin]
